Welcome to my website! My name is Jen (or to some of you, JennyPenny or Kennifer, thanks to predictive text.) I am a 26 year old Welsh girl living (sometimes the dream) in London. My website is an array of projects from Case Studies and Blogs to Fashion Inspiration and Art Gallery!

 

I’m currently a specialist UX and Product Design Recruiter and have been for the past 2-3 years, working with a variety of different clients from Fintechs, Biotechs to Ecommerce companies. My job is definitely a lot easier with me having a background and love for Design, whether that be Digital or a Physical Product. Communicating with designers and understanding their process also gives them more confidence that I do get what they do! A big passion of mine is helping designer's in the industry, hosting Portfolio Review Events to focusing on Women in Design and how we can introduce more women in to the industry.

However, my love is, and always will be Fashion and Art. I've always wanted the opportunity to work with more Fashion based clients, and for around 6 months worked specifically with their Digital Marketing Teams. In that time, I wrote my own blogs on my take on certain changes in the Fashion industry, what it takes to survive in a Digital Era, and what brands need to do to keep an engaged and loyal following. I also co-hosted an Influencer Marketing event with brands such as Selfridges, Monsoon, Beyond Retro and Hunter attending. 

 

I graduated Edge Hill University in 2017 with a 2:1 in Design for Performance. I had already completed an Art Foundation and A Level In Textiles and wanted to do something that combined my love for Musical Theatre and Fashion/ Textiles. My degree gave me the opportunity to branch out into Costume Design as well as Set Design, with some Prosthetic's and Technical thrown in there as well. 

 

I have decided to compile all of my work into a website for me to share my love for costume, fashion and painting! I love nothing more than being creative and getting my hands on a sewing needle or paint brush. When i'm not painting or sewing, I can be found playing the piano, and if i'm not there, I'm most likely online shopping!
